Description
Uncertain mint in the Oxus region, circa 295-283 BC. AR didrachm, 7.62 gr., 19.4 mm. Local standard imitating Athens.
Obv.: head of Athena to the right, wearing earring and crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves over visor and a spiral palmette on the bowl; to the left: monogram.
Rev.: AΘE; owl standing to the right, head facing; to upper left: prow of galley to the right above grape bunch on vine with leaf.
