Description

Circa 400-340 BC. AR didrachm or nomos, 7.65 gr., 20.5 mm.

Obv.: head of Demeter to the left, wearing beaded necklace and bifurcate earring, hair bound in  sphendone decorated with five small stars; on tranche of neck: APIΣTO (off flan); all in beaded circle.

Rev.: META; ear of barley with six grains on each side, to the left: murex shell.
